April 1 marks the 23rd anniversary of the company I started—Brenda Bence International! (Though, fun fact: That wasn’t the original name… long story 😉).

Back then, Executive Coaching was barely understood, and Professional Speaking was a very different landscape. Yet here we are—23 years later—and the journey just keeps getting better.

I actually launched my business on April Fools’ Day because I figured that, if it didn’t work out, I could always go running back to the corporate world and say, “Just kidding!” 😂 But instead, this path became my passion, my purpose, and my life’s work.

So, what’s been the key to sustaining and growing a global business for 23 years? A few lessons I’ve learned along the way:

✅ BE AGILE: The market evolves, and so must we.
✅ KEEP LEARNING: Growth never stops.
✅ DO THE INNER WORK: I never ask my clients to go deeper than I have.
✅ PASSION & PURPOSE: Loving what you do is one thing, but creating the right environment to keep loving it? That’s the magic.
