Recently, I had the chance to have dinner with someone who had a big impact on my life, and I was reminded of her generosity.
The background: Fifteen years ago this month, my first book was released. Leading up to that, I knew I wanted to get a book published, but I had no idea exactly “how.” Some wonderful synchronicity led me to meeting, and then having dinner with, the one and only Debra Fine.

During dinner, upon hearing my book-publishing goal, Debra graciously offered to help shepherd me through the entire book writing process! With her help, my first book was not only launched on time but also served as an incredible jumpstart to my publishing career and to driving my overall business.
Now, all these years later – and with 11 published books under my belt – I’m still just as grateful to Debra!
To pay back Debra’s kindness to others, every year I intentionally select members of two organizations to support as a mentor.
