The Art of “Unlearning” – and Why It’s Harder Than It Sounds

We’re shaking things up at our business. 🌀

New systems. New structures. New processes.

(Translation: There are moments when our brains feel like they’re doing cartwheels… but in a good way!)

Change like this means learning lots of new things. But what surprised me most is how much we also have to unlearn.

That system we had just mastered? Gone. 🚫

The workflow that used to work like a charm? Doesn’t fit anymore. 🔧

Even our own assumptions? Time to rethink. 🤔

💡 It hit me: In today’s world, knowing when to unlearn is just as powerful as knowing what to learn.
Why? Because we’re often rewarded for what we already know, but at the same time, that existing knowledge is what is quietly holding us back.

🔁 So what does unlearning actually require?
• A willingness to admit that old habits might be outdated
• The courage to let go of what once worked
• And the curiosity to ask, “What if there’s a better way?”

🎯 Why unlearning matters more than ever:
• It unlocks innovation (status quo rarely sparks brilliance)
• Fuels growth (both personal and professional)
• Keeps us relevant (in a world that’s moving at warp speed)
The best part? When you embrace unlearning, you create space for something even better to take its place.

Let’s normalize letting go. What’s one thing you’ve had to unlearn recently? 💬👇
