When “Pushing Through” Backfires ⚠️
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been pushing myself hard – too hard, honestly. I skipped many of my usual self-care practices, thinking I could just “power through” during an extremely busy period, at least until things calmed down.
The outcome? Two full days in bed. I had let my cup run dry. And when that happens, I’m not helpful to anyone – not my clients, not our team, not my family.
➡️ Self-care isn’t just a “nice to have.”
➡️ It’s not indulgent, or a luxury.
➡️ It’s not optional.
It’s a *strategic leadership imperative* for anyone who wants to perform at their best over the long haul 💼
It’s rare for me to fall ill, and this served as a powerful reminder:
**If we don’t make time for self-care, our bodies will make the time for us.** ⏳
Let’s share the wisdom: What’s your favorite self-care practice that helps you stay at your best? 💬
