Back when I was getting my MBA at Harvard Business School, women made up just 1 in 5 students.
Today, that number is approaching 50% (46%).
This photo captures the women from our MBA class gathered at our reunion this past weekend. Looking around the room, I couldn’t help but reflect on how much has changed since we first arrived on campus.
At the same time, I’ve never thought of myself as a “female leader.” After all, leadership has no gender.
Yet statistics like this matter because they tell a story of opportunity, access, and progress. They remind us that talent has always been distributed broadly – even when opportunities may not have been.
It’s encouraging to see the next generation of leaders entering classrooms, boardrooms, and C-suites in ways that better reflect the world around us.
Progress worth celebrating – and worth continuing!
