Been Through a Company Reorganization? Ask Yourself This…
Last week, I delivered a virtual speech to several dozen high-level leaders in a company that has gone through a big reorganization.
As I shared with the audience, when that kind of substantial change occurs, it can be messy and feel uncomfortable – even a bit overwhelming – as everyone tries to find their way.
One of the first questions I like to ask clients in a post-reorg environment is this:
** Are you working as a “group” or as a “team”? **
The differences between the two are stark – and critical to outcomes.
Using the definitions I’ve shared below about the differences between a group and a team, compare the list to your own work environment. Whether you are going through transformation or not, are YOU working more as a group or a team?
Sound out! What has been your experience with shifting from one to the other?
