For World Gratitude Day, I decided to take a moment to reflect on the incredible leaders who have shaped my journey.
One such person I’m grateful for is a leader named Tony. Three decades ago, Tony saw something in me that I didn’t see in myself, and with unwavering belief, he looked me in the eye, and said, “You should go overseas.”
He encouraged me to venture beyond my native U.S. borders, even before I realized that it was something I could do. Those words started me down a path that has led me to live, work, coach, and speak across six continents. So, even though Tony is no longer here on this earth, I honor Tony’s impact on my life – it is immeasurable! It also serves as an example of how a leader can make a profound impact on those they lead, perhaps without even realizing it.
